A rollicking tune about determination.

It will always make sense if you don't think about it too much.
I've been writing, recording and performing music for longer than I care to admit. Let's just say 20-25 years... give or take... as the crow flies. In the studio I do about everything except drums. I'm not 'great' at anything, just 'pretty good' at a lot of different things. I currently front 7 different line ups and outfits of various shapes and sizes and that keeps me playing pretty much year around. I can scale it down for budget-gigs and I can expand it out for the 'Big Show'. Current Acts: 1. SOLO- Louie McNeal (Acoustic Guitar and Vocal) 2. DUO 1- Fitzpatrick/ McNeal (2 Acoustic Guitars and 2 Vocals) 3. DUO 2 - Mc2 (Acoustic Guitar, Bass and 2 Vocals) 4. TRIO 1. - Acousticats (2 Acoustic Guitars, Upright Bass and 3 Vocals) 5. TRIO 2. - Hard Edits (Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums and 3 vocals 6. TRIO 3. - LTC (2 Acoustic Guitars, Percussion and 3 vocals) 7. QUARTET- Long Time Coming (Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums and 4 Vocals) [Though the majority of these bands and acts primarily focus on genre specific cover material, they are all capable of performing our impressive catalog of original compositions, when the opportunity presents itself.] I have recorded and produced 9 of my own albums (most available here on this site) and I have produced countless other acts and performers throughout my region. I love collaborating on songwriting. Some of my more accessible and popular tracks are ones where I worked with a collaborator. Music is my life. I sacrificed a LOT to be able to do it on my own terms and be happy about it. There are easier ways to go, but I prefer the more challenging aspects of writing, recording and performing my music. I really like the phrase, "A calm and easy ocean will make a lousy sailor out of you." Don't know who said it, but I seem to live by it.

Story behind the song
Was inspired to write this after losing someone that I should have never had in the first place
Lyrics
V1: Well, the time to move is near What I gotta do comes clear Lord only knows, where the road goes But anything's better than being here Anything's better than being here And I'm walking in the rain Following the trail of a heartbreak train Stagger down the track with a bottle in a sack I may get wet but I'm feelin' no pain May get wet but I'm feelin' no pain Chorus: Losing you was a big mistake And I don't care how long it takes Finding you is a vow I make Cause without you my heart will break into A thousand memories of you A thousand memories of you V2: Well, since I don't have you Don't know what I'm gonna do Seems I can't find no peace of mind Walking a mile in my own shoes Walking a mile in my own shoes And there's a sign by the side of the road Says 'No Heavy Loads' But the weight of my soul might cause a hole So I walk through the grass and the marigolds walkin' through the grass and the marigolds Chorus: Losing you was a big mistake And I don't care how long it takes Finding you is a vow I make Cause without you my heart will break into A thousand memories of you A thousand memories of you V3: Now I'm looking down every street Trying to be discrete But I can't hide how I feel inside Without you I'm incomplete Without you I'm Incomplete Maybe it was all for the best Maybe it was only a test And I can't tell if I did too well How it all ends is anybody's guess How it all ends is anybody's guess Chorus: Losing you was a big mistake And I don't care how long it takes Finding you is a vow I make Cause without you my heart will break into A thousand memories of you A thousand memories of you
